Your Attitude is Everything
Attitude is the way you think and behave.
Your attitude is something people can actually see before you even open your mouth. It shows up when you move and walk in the room; and people can feel it when they are with you.
Your attitude shows up on your face and in your eyes, and when you open your mouth, its reveals how you feel and who you are. Your attitude expresses itself in everything you do, all the time, wherever you are. Since your attitude is so important and it determines the direction in which your life goes, let’s get to know it and you a little better.
Think of your attitude like it’s a car.
When you’re driving a car, you can only drive in two directions: forward and backwards. You can’t drive a car a sideways, and you definitely can’t go up and down. Likewise, a positive attitude will move your life forward; a negative attitude will put it in reverse.
Other people may give you directions (on how to improve your life) but you are the driver, so its up to you to shift the gears. Do you want to spend your life moving ahead, or will you choose to spend your life backing up and living in the past?
The course of your entire life will be decided by your attitude.
You may be wondering what does your attitude have to do with child care and being a nanny. The answer is “everything.”
Your attitude will decide how well you do in school or at work and how you treat others.
When it comes to taking care of children, who require patience, attention, nurturing, and support, your lack of a positive attitude will affect a child and your performance, and could be grounds for getting you fired. Loosing your cool and taking out your frustrations on a child or infant with verbal and physical abuse will get you charged, prosecuted, and imprisoned.
Your attitude will decide whether or not you can discover and reach your potential, develop your abilities, and reach your goals.
You can accomplish anything by developing a positive attitude.
Look at your life and determine the things you can control and the things you can’t control.
For the things you can’t control, you will have to accept those things, move on and work around them. The key is to not let anything stop you from achieving your dreams and goals.
There will always be problems in life and plenty of times to fail at whatever you are attempting to accomplish. Failure does exist. Everyone fails at something once in a while, but you have a choice to concentrate on your failure and allow it to defeat you, or learn the lesson and why you failed, and decide within your mind to succeed. You can develop a positive attitude by emphasizing the good, and by refusing to be defeated.
If you develop a positive attitude, your problems will not instantly vanish, but you can solve those problems quicker with ease, and feel calmer and happier during the process.
